    Isotonic is best, but look out because some energy drinks say hypotonic and hypertonic on them but this may be in small print.

    I was always told water, but recently read a good article on the benefits of the sports drinks, the ones to stick to though are the Isotonic drinks as they have the right nutrients and not just sugar and water!
    You can make your own isotonic drinks using a little salt and distilled water, with a small amount of sugar for taste
